Basic Elliptical Maintenance

If you use your elliptical on a regular basis, then an annual service is needed. At a minimum, all of the axles, bushing and pivot points should be greased to prevent excessive wear and to prolong the life of your elliptical and prevent costly repairs or replacement down the road.

The image to the left is an elliptical pivot axle that had regular use but had not been greased in three years. You can see severe wear beginning to damage the axle.
