Landice L7 Treadmill
Some runners require more than just a basic residential quality treadmill. Perhaps you are training for the Olympics. or just a serious runner. Maybe you’d prefer a more serious piece of equipment than what a basic residential treadmill can offer. Or perhaps you are a big fella that the average residential treadmill can’t quite handle. Perhaps an American-made Landice might be your best bet.
Landice is absolutely my favorite treadmill brand. Not only are they one of the last American-made treadmills, which is a big plus for me. They are also very well made. In fact, I liked them so much that it was the only brand that I used to acquire used, rebuild, and service them as needed and resell them to very satisfied customers.
The frames of the Landice are made of aircraft-quality aluminum, so they cannot rust. The running platforms are a full 1 inch thick and are reversible, so when one side finally wears out, they can be flipped when a new running belt is installed.
The big, beefy drive motors are made by McMillan, another American manufacturer. Landice also installed a 1000-pound thrust incline motor.
Yes, they cost a bit more than your average residential quality treadmill. But they will last for many, many years after the average treadmill is in a landfill.
Here in Maine, they can be seen at Fitness Equipment Maine at the opposite end of the shopping center, where Maine Hardware is, 244 Saint John Street, Portland, ME 04102.
